Construction Project Administrator ? to start immediately!
Position overview
This position represents a key role within the transmission line installation project through southern Alberta and Montana and involves superior administration skills and project coordination experience. This person will be the central contact person for landowners, contractors, engineering and environmental consultants, safety and construction management staff for the duration of the project (likely until June 2012). Since the position involves working within the construction environment, a ?thick skin? is a definite asset! This is a highly successful company and there are definite opportunities to advance if you can effectively demonstrate your worth and potential.
The duties of this position will include:
? Creating and managing Ms excel spreadsheets to manage the flow of info about the project
? Complete payroll and cost coding
? Create POs and manage financial systems using Oracle Financials
? Document, organize and maintain construction project details from landowners, contractors and safety staff to include documentation procedures, tracking of construction drawings, creating and maintaining drawing indexes
? Control and track the flow of revisions to construction drawings from project members
Minimum experience
? Experienced administrative professional with strong technical and coordination skills
? High degree of competency in Ms excel (more than just columns and rows! ? be able to create formulas and detailed, searchable details to track the project components)
? Experience in payroll and cost coding
? Familiarity with Oracle Financials program ? or proficiency with a similar program
? Strong organizational, coordination and data management expertise, expertise to learn quickly and work in a quick paced environment in the construction/contracting industry
? Expertise to work a flexible work schedule (long days when the project is busy, shorter days when it?s not ? somewhat impacted by the weather conditions)
? Independent work habits ? able to function with minimal direction from the Project Manager
Hours of work
The position is Monday ? Friday 7:00 a.m. ? 3:30 or 4:30 p.m. Longer days and Saturday work is required when the project is at its busiest times. Compensation and OT is provided for this extra commitment. The company is very fair in terms of compensation; however they do expect a commitment to working long hours at peak times in return.

$50,000 - $60,000/year depending on experience
