The Feed Asia General Manager brings over 2 decades of background to his role and provides the overall management and strategic direction to the Feed Asia team along with the support of a dedicated committee of senior leaders across the company. The Feed Asia Team is armed with extensive feed background enabling them to market animal and pet food ingredients, livestock and forage products, while utilizing best practices and insight from North America. Reporting to the Feed Asia North America Sales Manager, the International Export Marketer?s role is to provide the company with consistent profits by effectively generating 100% export sales and purchase contracts for an assigned group of commodities. The challenge is to promote growth, present new opportunities and develop a sustainable business while sourcing products within North America and marketing and moving these products into key countries within the Asian market. The products include a wide variety of ingredients used in the manufacturing of Animal Feed for the Poultry, Swine, Cattle and Acquaculture industries. Responsibilities: Produce profitable export sales and areas for growth Build relationships with customers and suppliers that support export businessDevelop a thorough understanding of each of the Asian countries the applicant will be working with to ensure compliance with each country?s export regulations and requirementsPromote company name and positive reputation within the marketplace Collect market details and gain a comprehensive knowledge about the commodities traded Manage risk by operating within established guidelines Work within defined position limits as well as established company policies Work efficiently within a team environmentEntrepreneurial spirit and the ability to think out of the box. Goal oriented Critical skills, traits and competencies: Min of 5 yrs work background in large scale Agricultural Feed Sales and International Marketing, with a bachelor?s degree in Animal Science, Business, Import/Export or another related discipline, and/or an appropriate combination of background and educationAbove average written and oral communication abilities.Background originating products within North America and moving those products into the Asian marketplaceMust be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, suppliers and coworkersMust be able to follow corporate direction and policies promoting excellence Must possess integrity and be assertive with the ability to accept rejectionKnowledge of industry marketsAble to successfully complete overnight business travel, to include occasional travel by airplane, and possible international travel This role will appeal to a creative, service oriented and quality driven professional who enjoys building relationships, generating new ideas and building new business with strong communication abilities, a positive attitude and is very energetic.
