Alberta Health Services (AHS), Corrections Health is inviting applications from Dentists to provide dental services to Offenders within the Lethbridge Correctional Centre (LCC).Inmates with sentences of up to two years will serve their sentence in a provincial correctional centre. The LCC accommodates 387 male and female remanded and sentenced Offenders. The successful applicant will provide urgent dental services to inmates in a weekly clinic.Services provided consist of assessing and providing treatment for urgent dental concerns examples of which are tooth aches, dental abscesses, broken teeth and post surgical follow-up. Care (e.g. fillings, extractions) is primarily provided onsite within LCC. However, referrals will also be made for urgent dental services which must be managed at facilities outside LCC. On average, 13 patients would be seen through the weekly clinic.
