REGIONAL STORE MANAGER
Position # HR11-189
Reporting to the Trade Area Manager, you will actively manage all store operations and the store team to enable the service and assistance of members and customers in the selection of goods and services to meet their needs. You will ensure careful adherence to our Customer Care Program and compliance to all UFA policies so as to maximize sales and earnings for UFA. Specific responsibilities may include: ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including merchandise, daily and weekly reports, payroll timesheets, and financial report administration; maximise sales by implementing merchandise programmes, ensure optimum stock levels, motivate sales team through Customer Care Program, and make sure that the physical store is visibly presented internally and externally. Also responsible for maximizing profits after sales by increasing sales, controlling expenses and/or improving margin; administering employee salaries in accordance with the company salary structure and guidelines as established by the Trade Area Manager; responsible for timely performance reviews and hiring qualified employees; preparing work assignments and providing training and development opportunities; terminating employment through the proper use and follow-up of warnings and probation forms and acting as a liaison between management and employee with operational direction. This position will ensure maximum productivity per labour-hour is achieved through effective employee scheduling and cost to sell reporting; establishes open communication format with employees to provide feedback and motivation and constantly promotes concept of One Customer, One UFA.
Qualifications: Grade 12 diploma with 5-10 years of progressive experience or equivalency may be community college diploma with 3-5 years of progressive experience. Candidates being promoted to Store Manager status within UFA system will have 2 years proven experience in an Assistant Manager?s role or equivalent. Agricultural experience along with marketing and management experience are an asset.
