Reliability EngineerOur client is a leading producer in the food and beverage industry. One of their plants near Lethbridge, AB is currently seeking a Reliability Engineer responsible for overall leadership to mechanics, project engineers and managers in determining and carrying out the best maintenance practices for equipment reliability and total cost of ownership. The Reliability Engineer works independently or as team members to assess, design, train and implement preventive maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and reliability continuous improvement programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow the Company safety, loss prevention and environmental programs by holding themselves and all team members accountable to its tenetsMaintain environmental compliance by ensuring all equipment is adequately maintained and operating to design specificationsCommunicate to inform, engage and inspire. Emphasizes communications as a tool to build collaboration and ensure organizational alignmentEnsures failure modes addressed are appropriatePerforms cost/benefit analysis to set correct frequency of task(s)Assists Maintenance Manager and Plant Engineer with reliability analysis of proposed equipment modificationsMakes specific recommendations to improve machinery performance and reliability based on analysis of process and failure dataResponsible to perform statistical analysis on machinery failure data and work order data to determine whether adjustments to the Engineered Maintenance Strategy are warrantedLeads the Root Cause Failure Analysis effort for sporadic equipment failures.Develops specific operational procedure changes to help mitigate future failuresAnalyzes plant wide failure data and downtime scenarios to calculate relevant trigger points for RCFAApplies reliability analysis methods to new designs to determine system, asset and component reliabilityDirect and lead those maintaining and developing reliability KPI?s (% worker utilization, % schedule adherence, etc.) in conformance with Company standardsDirect and lead the maintenance of a record keeping system consistent with a world class reliability programUnderstand and utilize the continuum of maintenance philosophy as it relates to change managementPerform additional duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor?s or advanced degree in engineering or a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience, and continuing self-development.Must be fluent in English; second language is a plus but not requiredStrong technical expertise and problem solving skillsStrong analytical skills (e.g. root cause analysis and statistic analysis)Displays vision and demonstrates both personal and organizational sensitivityAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports Interested candidates please forward your resume to:Nino BailenHCR Perm Search(click to respond)Listing originally posted at
